Enclave Delivers Best November Sales Ever

DETROIT – New 2013 Enclave luxury crossover SUVs are arriving at dealers across the country, but demand is making for short stays on dealer lots and helped drive Enclave to its best November sales ever and 23 percent year-over-year retail sales growth.
Retail sales of all Buick models were up 18 percent year-over-year. Total sales – those including fleet deliveries – grew 22 percent. November sales were the brand’s best since 2006, and Buick is on track for its best retail sales year since 2006 as well.
While Enclave continues to find customers new to Buick with nearly one in two coming from outside GM brands this year, returning customers are especially excited about the 2013 model’s safety, design and technology updates.
“Our first three new Enclaves were sold before they arrived, and all to current Enclave owners,” said Bart Rinkenberger, general manager of Lighthouse Buick in Morton, Ill. “They tell us they love the quality and attention to detail, which has only gotten better for 2013.”
The Enclave originally launched in 2007 as a 2008 model, and the returning customers remind Rinkenberger of the customer shift it brought with it.
“There’s no doubt the Enclave changed the type of customers we see,” he said. “They’re young families who wouldn’t have considered other Buicks at the time. Now, they’re staying with us. We just had an Enclave owner buy a Regal GS, and I know the first sale led to the second.”
Earlier this month, the 2013 Enclave was named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The IIHS has similarly qualified every 2013 Buick model, including the LaCrosse luxury sedan, Verano luxury sedan, and Regal luxury sport sedan.
Every Buick tested since the start of the 2012 model year has also received a 5-star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The 2013 Verano earned its 5-star score in November.
