DETROIT – Cadillac’s product-driven sales growth continued through November, with the brand reporting its 18th consecutive month of increasing retail sales in the U.S. For the month, Cadillac’s U.S. sales rose 11 percent, and the brand saw a 25-percent increase year-to-date. November also marks the brand’s 14th consecutive month of double digit year-over-year growth in total sales.
Cadillac’s 16,172 sales marked the best November sales since 2007. The brand was led by the SRX crossover and the ATS sport sedan. The XTS large luxury sedan also posted its second-best total sales since its launch a year ago, jumping 42 percent from November 2012.
“Our growth is driven by new buyers coming into Cadillac for the first time,” said Bill Peffer, Cadillac vice president of sales and service. “The rate of buyers trading in a Mercedes, BMW or Lexus for a Cadillac reached a six-month high in November.”
Shipments of the all-new 2014 CTS Vsport model have just begun. The rear-wheel-drive CTS Vsport is equipped with the all-new 420-hp Cadillac Twin-Turbo V-6 engine.
A month into the launch of the third-generation 2014 CTS, the model has been honored with a number of awards. In November, the CTS was named Motor Trend’s Car of the Year, one of Car and Driver’s 10 Best cars for 2014, and Road & Track’s Best Luxury Sedan of 2013.
