DETROIT – Buick retail sales grew for the 14th month in a row in June, with year-over-year sales up 6 percent. Retail sales were the brand’s best since 2006, while total sales decreased 4 percent year over year. Through the first six months of the year, Buick’s year-to-date retail sales are at the highest level in eight years.
The redesigned 2013 Enclave luxury crossover continues to be Buick’s best-selling vehicle, with June retail up 10 percent year over year and total sales up 14 percent year over year, reaching the highest level in the model’s history. Year-to-date total and retail sales through June were also the highest ever for Enclave.
“The 2013 Enclave is a great example of Buick responding to customer feedback and making a great vehicle even better,” said Brian Sweeney, vice president of Buick Sales and Service. “We strive to offer the best comfort, quality and intuitive technology on the market and the Enclave is a shining example of that.”
By the end of the year, every Buick model will have been new or significantly updated within the past two years. The LaCrosse luxury sedan, which had its best retail sales month of the year in June, arrives at dealers soon as a new 2014 model that’s already garnering media praise. According to Cars.com, “Building cars like the 2014 Buick LaCrosse and steadily improving quality and customer satisfaction is working to attract new customers.”
