2014 GMC Sierra Posts Strong September Sales
Wed, Oct 2 2013
DETROIT – The all-new 2014 GMC Sierra had its best month of sales to individual customers in September since launching in June.
Continuing to move quickly off dealer lots, Sierra’s average “time to turn” is just 27 days, compared to the segment’s 87-day average. Last month, 6,151 all-new 2014 Sierras were delivered, bringing the total to 15,149 since sales began.
Sierra’s real-world-achievable fuel economy is a hot selling point. George Cullom of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., averaged 22 mpg in his new 2014 Sierra SLT Crew Cab 4WD on a 600-mile road trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains. “This is unreal,” said Cullom. “I could not be more satisfied with this purchase.”
The 2013 Sierra HD recorded its best September since 2008. A newly redesigned 2015 Sierra HD was unveiled last week at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas.
“The Professional Grade quality of the all-new Sierra, new facilities, and top-ranked Customer Satisfaction with Dealer Service award from J.D. Power and Associates is driving truck buyers to GMC showrooms,” said Brian Sweeney, vice president of GMC Sales and Service. “And with the new 2015 Sierra HD arriving in the first quarter of next year, we’re offering a line of no-compromises trucks to help get the job done for our customers.”
