DETROIT – Buick’s August retail sales were the best since 2003 with a 24.1 percent year-over-year increase, the 16th consecutive month of sales growth to individual customers. Total sales, including those sold to executive fleets and other commercial customers, were up 36.9 percent.
New products continue to drive Buick’s retail sales increase, with each nameplate in the Buick portfolio posting its best sales of the year.
Recently named the “Best Seven Passenger SUV” by Edmunds.com, the Enclave luxury crossover SUV continues its momentum with total sales up 19.1 percent year over year.
“A fresh product line continues to drive new and current customers into Buick showrooms,” said Brian Sweeney, vice president of Buick Sales and Service. “Enclave is tracking for its best sales year ever while Verano is helping to create a new generation of Buick loyalists.”
The all-new Buick Encore also marked its best sales month of 2013 with 4,296 deliveries in August.
Additionally, the Buick LaCrosse achieved its best month of the year posting a 24.5 percent gain in total sales. The 2014 LaCrosse, with refreshed styling and new advanced technology, is just now arriving in showrooms.
