Oshawa, Ontario (August 1, 2012) — For the month of July, GM’s combined retail sales of small and compact cars were up 19 per cent, led by the Chevrolet Cruze, GM’s top selling passenger car. Retail sales of GM’s combined small and compact SUV / MPV were also up 19 per cent for the month, led by the GMC Terrain. On an adjusted basis, GM’s retail sales were up nearly 7 per cent for the month, with retail truck sales up 10 per cent and retail passenger car sales up 1 per cent. Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac dealers reported 19,206 deliveries in July 2012.
