Oshawa, Ontario (January 3, 2013) — Buick experienced sustained growth throughout 2012, finishing the year with a 12 per cent increase in sales, driven by strong consumer demand for the Buick Verano, a recent recipient of a Consumer Guide Automotive Best Buy Award. Overall, in 2012, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 226,825 vehicles including 14,623 in December.
“The automotive market in Canada is highly competitive and the ultimate winners are Canadian customers, who continue to benefit from better value and better products,” said Kevin Williams, president and managing director of GM of Canada. “Our new products, like the award-winning Cadillac ATS and Buick Verano, are hitting the mark with Canadians, which bodes well for 2013.”
“Our new vehicles are clearly connecting with customers,” added Marc Comeau, GM of Canada’s vice-president of sales, service and marketing. “In 2013, we will build on this momentum with the launches of the all-new Chevrolet Trax, Buick Encore and our all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra later in the year. Starting now, customers can also benefit from our new, exclusive partnership with AIR MILES, offering customers up to 3,000 AIR MILES reward miles for a new vehicle purchase or lease during various promotional periods.”
