Oshawa, Ontario (March 3, 2014) — Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 12,981 vehicles in February 2014.
“Canadian customers are embracing the luxury, style, versatility and technology of Buick’s new product line-up,” said Bob McClelland, director, vehicle marketing, GM Canada. “In February, Buick sales were up 88 per cent, driven by the compact, urban-friendly Verano and Encore.”
With the new products being introduced, Canadian customers will soon be able to experience the all-new large SUVs including the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade. As well, the all-new heavy-duty Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra and mid-size pickups, the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon will join the product line up later this year. The addition of the HD and mid-size pickups rounds out GM’s three truck strategy, joining the recently awarded North American Truck of the Year, the Chevrolet Silverado and the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada’s Best New Pickup, the GMC Sierra. This three truck strategy is designed to meet the needs of the broadest possible customer base by letting them choose precisely the right truck to meet their needs.
February 2014 Sales Highlights
Total GM Canada sales were down 7 per cent in February 2014.
