DETROIT – Chevrolet sold a record 1.25 million vehicles around the world in the third quarter of 2013, up 0.6 percent over the same period in 2012, and the brand achieved its 12th straight quarter of year-over-year increased sales.

Overall, General Motors Co. posted sales of more than 2.4 million vehicles in the third quarter of 2013, an increase of 5.5 percent over the same period in 2012.
