Dhivya Suryadevara was named vice president, finance and treasurer, on July 1, 2015. In addition to this role, she remains CEO and chief investment officer of GM Asset Management, positions she has held since February 2014 and July 2013, respectively. Her responsibilities include capital planning, capital market activities, worldwide banking and overall strategy and management of GM's pension plans.
She was previously managing director of investment strategy and fixed income for GM Asset Management, where she led the U.S. defined pension benefit plan’s fixed income and de-risking efforts.
Suryadevara previously held positions in the GM Treasurer’s office and outside GM at UBS Investment Bank and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She serves on the board of the Girl Scouts of Greater New York. Suryadevara has an MBA from Harvard University and a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Madras in India. She is also a CFA charter holder.
