Car clubs and their members are, in many ways, the grass-roots extension of GM's Heritage Center. Their interest in the preservation and promotion of each nameplate and the vehicles it produced keeps GM's heritage very much alive, and on the road, for all to see. The GM Heritage Center salutes the contributions of clubs and individual members, and are proud to share this site with them.

Featured Club: The Riviera Owners Association (ROA)

The Riviera Owners Association (ROA) was formed in 1984 in the belief that the "time had come for this classic Buick to receive the attention it deserves." With more than 2,500 members worldwide, the ROA held its international meet this year in Galena, Illinois, near the Mississippi River and Dubuque, Iowa. "The ROA is dedicated to the enjoyment, restoration and preservation of this historically significant General Motors classic automobile," said Ray Knott, founder and director of the ROA.

Riviera gets its due
The interior of the Riviera Blackhawk adds to the vehicle's overall beauty. While not an official concept car, this retro-modern show car was styled with parts from several GM models to celebrate Buick's 100-year anniversary. The Blackhawk's engine was taken from a 1972 Riviera and the interior borrowed from a 1995 Riviera. The vehicle remains a crowd favorite at car shows.
