What Entity Provides Support
Generally, the GM Foundation (GMF) provides support for grant proposals and other contributions. To ensure continuity of its philanthropic efforts, General Motors established the GMF in 1976. The GMF is committed to supporting organizations and programs designed to effect social change, provide for those in need, and improve the quality of life, primarily in areas where General Motors operates.
GM provides support for event participation, memberships, and vehicle and in-kind donations. GM is committed to fulfilling its role as a responsible corporate citizen through support of charitable, educational, scientific and community organizations, primarily in areas where it operates.
