Cadillac's First Sale Of All-New 2009 CTS-V Benefits Charity

NEW YORK (April 18, 2008) — The eagerly anticipated 2009 CTS-V, Cadillac’s 550-hp expression of ultimate performance and luxury, hits the streets this coming fall. However, the first sale occurred last night in New York City, where the first CTS-V earned a winning bid of $75,000 at a special charity auction benefiting the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Unique Award Created to Recognize Wilmer Cooksey's Longtime Dedication to African-American Education

DETROIT (Feb 15, 2008) — The Council of Engineering Deans of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities will recognize GM Corvette plant manager Wilmer Cooksey with its Lifetime Service award for his longtime dedication to education for African Americans. The group will present the prestigious award to Cooksey, a former college professor, on Saturday, Feb. 16 during the Black Engineer of the Year Award program in Baltimore.
