GM Tire Safety

Your tires are among the most important features on your vehicle, and you've undoubtedly heard a lot about tire safety during the last couple of years. However, tire safety is not a new concept at General Motors. We opened the Tire and Wheel Systems Laboratory at the General Motors Proving Ground in Milford, Michigan, back in 1968 to oversee the design, development, validation and engineering release of all tires used on GM North American vehicles.
But tire safety is a partnership that includes the driver. First, read about the measures GM has taken to ensure that the tires on your new GM vehicle are properly suited to your vehicle. Then, please review what you need to know to maintain your tires and keep your vehicle safe.
