In Antwerp 1924 a daughter enterprise was founded under the name "General Motors Continental N.V". Since 1925 GM cars are assembled over here. By doing this General Motors gained market share in the car markets of Belgium and the Netherlands, especially after 1925 when Vauxhall was acquired.
In 1945 a subsidiary of General Motors Continental N.V. at Antwerp was founded in the city of Rotterdam, under the name "General Motors Continental – Netherlands Branche", from here Sales and distribution of GM products took place.
