Romania - History

In 1997 the first Representative Office of Opel Hungary Distribution LTD was set up in Romania. In 1998 the name was changed to Opel Southeast Europe LTD. The representative office was coordinating only the sales, marketing and aftersales operations in Romania for Opel brand.

Since 2004 when the Chevrolet brand was launched in Romania the Representative Office name was changed to General Motors Southeast Europe LTD.

Romania was the first country in Europe where the new GM DAT products were launched under the Chevrolet brand name.
