Slovenia - History

From 1991, when Slovenia became independent, and up to 1997, Opel was represented by Opel Austria and sold through five dealers. In 1997 Opel Marketing was established as a Branch Office of Opel Marketing Southeast Europe Ltd. and was responsible for Sales and Marketing activities for Opel brand in Slovenia.

In 2004 the office started to represent Chevrolet brand in Slovenia as well. From 2005 the company is named General Motors Southeast Europe Ltd., Branch Office Ljubljana, representing Opel and Chevrolet brand in Slovenia.
