General Motors has established partnerships with organizations that promote education in the areas of math, science and technology. Read more on the individual partnerships below.

Curriculum development

  • Weekly Reader and GM have teamed up to bring quality lesson plans to K-12 schools that are consistent with national education standards. Topics include fuel cells, the environment, and technology.

Competitions

  • EcoCAR: The NeXt Challenge, an international collegiate vehicle engineering competition —sponsored by GM, the U.S. Department of Energy, the Government of Canada and other industry organizations, challenges engineering students from universities throughout North America to design and build a cutting edge vehicle with the goal of minimizing the environmental impact of personal transportation.
