DETROIT – Holiday shopping may hinge on Black Friday, but Buick retailers kept busy throughout November. Sales to individual customers rose 13.8 percent year over year, while total sales increased by 27 percent, combining to result in Buick’s best November since 2003.
“The hottest items on Black Friday deliver advanced style, sophistication and connectivity, while delivering an incredible value to the customer,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice President of Buick sales and marketing. “As every Buick delivers on those same attributes, it isn’t surprising to see the brand’s momentum continued to grow in November.”
Buick’s sedan portfolio was popular in November. Retail sales for the premium LaCrosse sedan increased 53 percent year over year, which led to the model’s best November sales result since 2005. Retail sales of the Verano grew 32 percent compared to last November, while total sales of the Regal through 11 months of 2014 have increased 22.5 percent over the same period in 2013.
The compact Encore SUV continues to build momentum in the marketplace while bringing new customers to Buick. With 4,577 Encores sold in November, total sales increased 55.7 percent year over year. To date in 2014, Encore sales are up 56.8 percentage points compared to the same period in 2013.
Buick continues to gain recognition for its commitment to customer satisfaction, and was recently the only domestic automaker to score within the Top 10 of a leading industry study of initial vehicle reliability.
