DETROIT – For the second consecutive year, the 2014 Buick Encore ranked highest in the Small SUV segment (in a tie) in the J.D. Power Initial Quality StudySM results released today.
More than 51,000 of the compact crossovers have been delivered since going on sale in 2013. In its second year of production, the Encore remains a top-seller for Buick, with nearly half of customers coming from brands outside of General Motors.
This award complements Buick’s recognition as the highest-ranking mass-market brand for customer satisfaction with dealer service, according to the J.D. Power 2014 U.S. Customer Service Index (CSI) Study SM .

The 2014 IQS is based on responses from more than 86,000 purchasers and lessees of new 2014 model year vehicles surveyed at 90 days of ownership. The study includes a 233-question survey designed to provide manufacturers with information they can use to quickly identify problems and drive improvement.
