General Motors India has sold a total 4,413 vehicles in September 2014 against 7,048 units sold in the corresponding period last year. The numbers also include 143 units of exports, marking the company’s maiden vehicle shipment to Chile.
In the domestic market, the company sold 1,166 units of Chevrolet SAILs, 1,149 units of Tavera and 1,139 units of Beat during the month.
“There is some positive movement in the market due to the festival season and new entries. However, the complete recovery of the automobile industry is still some time away,” said P. Balendran, Vice President, General Motors India.
