Subscribing is easy.
First, check out XM's available packages.
If this is your only XM radio, you can subscribe online or call XM Listener Care at 1-800-929-2100. Be sure to have your Radio ID handy.
If you already enjoy XM on another radio, you may be eligible for a multi-radio discount. Subscribe online if you are still within your trial period. Have both Radio IDs ready, and then follow the directions under "Current XM Subscribers."
If your trial has expired, just call XM Listener Care at 1-800-929-2100 to sign up.
Note: Sign up before your trial period ends, and you'll avoid the initial activation fee. You'll also make sure your service is uninterrupted. (Don't worry: You'll still get the full trial period.)
Managing your XM account
Once you've subscribed to XM, you can review billing information and previous invoices, change your contact preferences and pay your bill, all online.

Want to transfer your XM service to a new vehicle?
You can transfer any remaining XM service from a previous GM vehicle to your new GM vehicle. If you don't wish to transfer your remaining service, you MUST cancel it. Call 1-800-929-2100 for details on transferring or cancelling your XM service.

Payment options
XM offers a variety of payment plan options with each programming package. Subscriptions are prepaid and recur with a billing frequency ranging from monthly to 3 or more years. You can pay by check, money order or credit card. With an Annual Subscription Plan, you can have your XM charges rolled into your vehicle’s monthly payment. This offer is available only at the time of delivery. See your dealer for details.
NOTE: XM service will automatically renew for additional periods of the same length as the plan you choose, at the then current renewal rate, unless you call to cancel.

How to get your XM Radio ID
It's easy. Just tune your XM Radio to Channel 0. (NOTE: Check your Radio ID carefully. None of the following letters are used: "I" (eye), "O" (oh), "S" or "F".
Only receiving a few channels?
Then you probably need to refresh your radio. Go to xmradio.com/refresh and enter your Radio ID (find your Radio ID by switching to Channel 0). Make sure your radio is turned on and in an open area with a clear view of the sky. Wait 10-15 minutes for the signal to activate. Then you should be ready to go.
NOTE: The refresh signal will be sent for three hours, so the radio must be powered up some time during that three-hour window to receive the refresh signal.
How to preset your favorite channels
Once you've found a favorite channel, simply press and hold the preset button on your radio until it beeps. You'll want to do this for each one of the five or six preset buttons.

XM gives you the option to filter which XM channels are available in your vehicle since some XM channels contain explicit language. (These channels are marked "XL" on the radio display and channel lineup.) To block certain XM channels, just call XM Listener Care at 1-800-929-2100.
