Lin-Hua Wu was appointed senior vice president and chief communications and marketing officer at General Motors in November 2025. In this position, Wu leads the teams responsible for the company’s overall brand and reputation and ensures a cohesive strategy across owned, earned, and paid media to increase overall impact for the business.
Prior to this role, Wu was senior vice president and chief communications officer. Before GM, Wu served as vice president of global communications and public affairs at Google. Previously, she was the chief communications officer at Dropbox, overseeing global communications, brand marketing, and analyst relations. Before joining Dropbox, she was head of corporate communications at Square, and a partner at Brunswick Group and Kekst and Company.
She began her career as an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati in Palo Alto, California. Wu graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Stanford University and a law degree from Stanford Law School. She is a board member of the Stellar Development Foundation and serves on the Board of Visitors of Stanford Law School.
